I need help on a project of 1000 words on the importance of the HR Department in a hotel that is expanding but facing issues with retention, absenteeism, and high turnover. The HR Consultant needs to write to the Managing Director (MD) who is not supportive of the HR Department within the hotel chain. The goal is to convince the MD of what Human Resource Management (HRM) entails and how it can benefit the hotel group, ultimately increasing profitability.

Additionally, it is crucial to explain the potential consequences if individual managers are allowed to continue being solely responsible for HRM in their respective hotels.

Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function within an organization that focuses on recruitment, management, and providing direction for the people who work in the organization. Human Resource Management can also be performed by line managers.

Human Resource Management is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training. It's even more important for a business that is expanding.

Human Resource Management is also a strategic and comprehensive approach to managing people and the workplace culture and environment. Effective HRM enables employees to contribute effectively and productively to the overall company direction and the accomplishment of the organization's goals and objectives.

HRM is needed in any organization from entry till exit or recruitment to retirement. Only when HRM is well managed, then the employees can give their best to the organization. If individual managers manage, there'll be no uniformity in culture, environment, discipline, and functioning of the organization. If the individual manager exits your organization, there may be a lack of continuance of uniformity, which may lead to a high attrition rate.

But, if there's a proper HR team, the exit of one individual from it due to any reason will not affect the organization or its people, at least in regards mentioned ahead. So, HRM in any organization is necessary.
