District Consumer Forum has no jurisdiction to entertain a complaint filed by an employee regarding benefits accrued in service.
In this case, the respondent approached the District Consumer Forum on the ground that there was a clear deficiency of service on the part of the bank in not crediting the commuted value of the pension to his account and, at the same time, making a deduction of the amount of pension so commuted. It has been held that since the respondent employee did not avail any service as defined under section 2(1)(o), the District Forum had no jurisdiction to entertain the complaint filed by the employee.
