Dear all,
I am Anisha. Recently, I have joined the organization as an HR Executive. I am a fresher in this field, so I am requesting all Cite HR members to share your knowledge with me regarding ESIC. I have theoretical knowledge like deductions, challans, RC. However, practical knowledge is limited (e.g., how to submit RC, challans, etc.). Please advise me on the essential things I should know about ESIC and also provide information about TIC.

Dear Anishamita,
I suggest you visit your ESI local office. Recently, they have made changes and introduced online challan, new joinees form, returns, etc., which require a password allotted by the ESI office. They will surely inform you about the new online procedure.

Dear Clement,
Thanks for providing me with such a valuable recommendation. Actually, I know how to submit online ESIC monthly challans, but I don't know the procedure for obtaining sub-codes for different branches and the online process for RC. Could you please share a copy/sample of the new joiners' forms or explain the procedure for new joiners? Additionally, I would like to inquire if my ESIC local/regional office can assist me in understanding the procedures for RC, sub-codes, and resolving my ESIC queries.

Yeah, why not? Please wait; I am sending the system to submit the Online ESIC Monthly Challan. First of all, I want to tell you that if your company is registered in only one place, then your ESIC challan can be submitted at the same time. Now, please follow this PDF sheet. Thank you, friend. I will answer your second question after some time.

Dear Anishamita,
In these last couple of months, everything has changed. Now, you don't have a hard copy of the declaration form; it is in soft copy. The employee number and details are now available online. You need to print it, sign it with your seal, and send the employee to the ESI office to have their photo taken for the smart card. The half-yearly return has been discontinued, and only monthly returns are required now.
Regarding the subcode, the procedure is that when your main or head office has an ESI code, you must apply for a subcode by filling out a form. They will provide you with the same code with an extension such as CHE, DEL, MUM, etc.
I still recommend that you visit the local office where all your queries will be resolved.

Clement

Dear Anisha,
Every month, you have to send the details of all the employees in the format given by them online. The challan is generated automatically. Then you have to pay at the bank. Similarly, for a new employee, you have to fill out the form online. You will immediately receive their number. You just have to sign the same and send them to the local office for a smart card.
It would be better if you go to the local office and get yourself trained, which is very easy.
