Can anyone let me know the revised new minimum wage structure of Gujarat effective 1st April '10? Should it be basic salary only or gross salary including allowances like HRA, conveyance, medical, special allowances, and company contribution of PF? (i.e., minimum wage = CTC of the employee?) If it is like this, can anyone help me by providing a reference to any act/section of the law for management's reference?

Revised minimum wages for all states are available at the following site: Central sphere wages updated up to 01.04.2010. Visit the Wage Cell Ministry of Labour & Employment website, click on "minimum wages," and then select either central sphere wages or the specific state wages you require.
