Hi all,
Labour law is a comprehensive subject covering more than 82 different acts ranging from Shops and Establishment Act, the Contract Labour Act, Maternity Benefits Act, Workmen's Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Payment of Retrenchment Compensation Act, Conditions of Employment (Regulation) Act, Labour Welfare Act, Building and Other Construction Workers Act, Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees' State Insurance Act, Equal Remuneration Act, and more to follow.
You need to decide first which ones are applicable to you and which ones are not.
Thanks and regards

First and foremost, please spell labor laws correctly. It is certainly not "labour laws".
I continue to be amazed that today's youngsters, who claim to be HR professionals, just do not want to read books and seem to want everything readymade, on a platter. Can one imagine the kind of feeble, damaged foundation that is being unfortunately laid?
All HR practitioners MUST have with them P.L. Malik's "Industrial Law". This is a bible of sorts for in-depth understanding of labor laws.

Please correct, its "PL Malik" not "PL Mlik". P. L. Malik’s Handbook of Labour and Industrial Law Regards
