Hi Sha... I'm also doing a project on the same topic. But I too have the same doubt. How did you get the value of X in table 27, and also how did you calculate the engaged, disengaged, etc.? Please explain to me. You can email me at .

Hi,
I received a lot of inquiries regarding this, so I'll explain in an open forum to the best of my knowledge. The value of X can be calculated using a 5-point Likert scale. Assign a number/mark from 1 to 5, ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree, for each question. Assign the corresponding value for each question and sum up the results to get X for each sample. Using Karl Pearson's standard deviation, the overall employee engagement can be calculated. I hope this will help.

Hi Sha,
I also have the same doubt. I understood how you calculated your X values, but could you explain to me how you calculated the number of actively disengaged, not engaged, and engaged values? Was there any range for calculating it?
With regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul,
After calculating the standard deviation (σ), add the actual mean (x̄) and standard deviation.
That is, I got the actual mean = 89.12 and SD = 15.04:
- Adding: Am + SD = 89.12 + 15.04 = 104.16
- Subtracting: Am - SD = 89.12 - 15.04 = 74.08
Now, if the value goes above 104.16, then consider the sample as engaged. If the value goes below 74.08, then consider those samples as actively disengaged. If the sample value is between 104.16 and 74.08, consider it as not engaged. It's very simple. I think you owe me some money :icon10::icon10::icon10:. Just kidding. I hope this explanation helps.

Did you find out how these X values were calculated? Also, how were the number of actively disengaged, not engaged, and engaged values calculated? Was there a specific range for calculating them?
Please share with me. Anyone aware of employee engagement, please reply to this.
Thanks,

Hi Solange,
I am working on a project about the Recruitment Process, and I am struggling to articulate my findings. The objective of my project is to assess the current recruitment practices within organizations and their financial implications. If anyone has a sample project related to recruitment or similar content, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it with me.
Kind regards,
Solange

Dear Solange,
Your statement implies that you have done the work and are finding it difficult to write up the Findings section. Have you written the introductory chapter with a clear statement of aim and objectives? How about the literature survey and methodology chapters? Have you written them?
Have a nice day.

Dear Sha,
I am an MBA student doing my SIP on EE. I saw your project, and it was very useful. I have completed my data collection and am about to start the analysis. If you could please share how you calculated the "X" value and how you arrived at the conclusion of 3 actively disengaged, 39 not engaged, and 8 engaged from that table.
I kindly request your response so I can begin my analysis.

Hey Rahul,
I understood the calculation of three engagement levels. If you would please show me the calculation of "X" for the 1st value of 93, I would appreciate it. I know it's been a long time for you to take a look, but please, if you can share and show me the procedure.
