I am working in a service sector company that has a contract with a company under state and central partnership for the past year. We hold registrations with both the state and central labor commissions, and I submit half-yearly labor returns to both entities. However, the client is now insisting that we maintain only one registration, specifically from the state. They have requested the cancellation of the central registration, and I have already applied for Form VI-A to initiate this process. The issue has been resolved, but I have a query:
The client's legal experts have informed me that possessing two licenses could be considered fraudulent, and they might pursue legal action. I am uncertain about this because the property pertains to both the central and state authorities. What is the harm in having dual licenses?
I seek clarification on this matter.
