Hi Vasu,
Thank you for providing the form; I was looking for it.
Can anyone also answer my queries?
I want to know:
1) What is the procedure for opening a PF account for a new joiner?
2) Someone told me that a company has a single PF account in the PF office in which the members of the company, who have opted for PF, contribute, and they don't need to fill out any forms for the same.
3) When the said employee wants to withdraw that amount, is it only then that they are required to fill out a form?
4) When an employee joins, the company fills out PF-related forms for them. Are these forms kept with the employer for their records or forwarded to the PF office?
Please help me understand the process related to opening, withdrawal, etc., of a PF account.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Anu

Dear Anu,
If an employee joins newly, you need to fill up Form No. 2 Declaration form and issue an individual PF account number, and submit the same along with monthly returns (5 & 10).
If an employee wants to withdraw his accumulations, he has to fill up Form 19 and 10C. Until and unless the employee resigns from services and the employer shows him as resigned or retired in the monthly returns (5 & 10), he can't withdraw his accumulations, which means he can't withdraw while in service.
Employees must fill up Form 2 signed by an authorized signatory of the company. The company will have a PF code number, and an individual PF account will be given by the company.
For example:
Co PF code: KN/BN/3500
Individual PF no: KN/BN/3500/01

Dear Friends,
The best place to get information about ESI and PF forms is their respective websites. www.epfindia.com and www.esic.nic.in are the websites of EPF and ESI respectively. I hope these two websites will be useful for you. All the best...
