As per the available information, the Central Government is rolling out new Labour Codes in phases.
The government is planning to roll out all the Labour Codes, which were passed by Parliament in September 2020. However, these are yet to come into effect mainly due to dithering by some major states to frame the rules under their domain.

New labor codes cannot be implemented only in Delhi. There was market information to implement them from 01.07.2022, but they have not been implemented yet. When they are implemented, it will be for the whole of India.

The newspapers sensationalized the news based on the Minister of State's reply in parliament two months ago, stating that the government is working to implement the laws soon and might notify by July 1, 2022.
