I would like to know the effective do's and don'ts for working from home if the company is planning to implement this style of work for its future operations. Employee performance and workload are also aspects to be captured and illustrated in this document.

Please provide your valuable input.

For work-from-home arrangements, the major focus remains on productivity, quality, and the measurement of performance. When it comes to productivity, a system capturing engagement in real-time (online method) including availability is a must. Regarding performance, daily performance targets (preferably set one day in advance) with milestones should be established. Quality standards, depending on the required performance, must be designed for distance working. To measure performance, the percentage achievement against the set targets/milestones on a daily basis by the performer themselves should be reviewed by the supervisor. Interactive sessions through a virtual mode, such as review meetings (sunrise/sunset), should be incorporated into the work-from-home system.

Working from home has its own set of perks. The setup of work from home is here to stay. As per the statistics the employees have mentioned in their survey that they would prefer to work from home and office in an alternate set up. However there are a few dos and don'ts in the WFH setup.

DOs

1. Fix working hours.
2. Make a routine

Don’ts
Don’t procrastinate on the assigned work
Try not to indulge in any distractions while working.
These are a few dos and don’t that can help in attaining a healthy work schedule.
