Hi Seniors,
I am currently working with a manufacturing unit that has offices in Gurgaon and Mumbai. We have sales employees across India who work from home. Please suggest ways to engage these remote employees to make them feel like a part of the organization.

Dear Arushi,
You could have mentioned what your product or service is. How many salespersons do you have, and to whom do they report?
This problem is not with you but everywhere. This problem occurs when there is no defined sales process. As a part of the sales process, you need to develop a "Sales Call Evaluation Sheet." This is not just a dumb DSA but far beyond, and your salesperson won't be able to concoct anything on it.
Have you given a target to each salesperson? When I say "target," it is not just a sales target but a target of "__ No of cold calls every day" also. Secondly, is the salesperson also responsible for the recovery? How do you measure their recovery ratio?
If you wish, I will design a customized sales process. However, it may be noted that making a standardized sales process is no easy task. It requires a lot of effort. The benefit of having your process is that salespersons may come and go, and the process will remain with you. Day by day, month by month, or year by year, it will get further enriched.
Please talk to your management to find out the possibility of working together.
Thanks,

Hi,
I understand your trouble in motivating employees who are in a different physical space as you and team members who are working in separate locations. Make sure you have a weekly Skype meeting with all the employees and check in with them regularly. You should put together a work management tool like Trello that helps employees interact with each other as well as build a team spirit that keeps them motivated. These employee engagement tools will help create a sense of ownership when it comes to work.
You can refer to two articles that are very informative when it comes to handling remote or work from home employees:
