We allow 1 paid leave to our employees in a month. Additionally, we have a policy where 6 days of leave shall be counted as 7 days. In this scenario, if an employee has taken 6 leaves in a month, I would like to clarify whether I should deduct 1 paid leave from this month's entitlement first or count it as 7 leaves and then proceed with deducting the paid leave.

Please provide an explanation for the preferred approach.
