Dear All,

Good evening!

ESIC has taken another generous action. ESIC has allowed employers to pay and file the ESI contribution for the period of April 2019 to September 2019 until 15th May 2020 as a one-time opportunity. As you know, the actual online payment can only be made until 11th November 2019 for the contribution period of April to September 2019. Employers need to submit an explanation cum apology letter along with a cheque or DD to the ESIC office in person if they wish to make the payment after the deadline. Employers cannot make online payments if it exceeds 42 days from the last month of the half-yearly contribution period.

Please take advantage of this opportunity and settle any pending monthly contribution dues if you have not paid for the period of April 2019 to September 2019 yet. Please be aware that there will be damages/interest incurred for delays in payment, as is the regular practice. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Thanks for your support.

What is the process if the employer has not paid ESIC amount for the month of March 2020?

Now, online payment options are not available for the month of March 2020. The delay is due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Operations of organizations were off during the 70-day lockdown period.
