Dear sir,
I resigned from a company on the 29th of January 2019 and received my full and final settlement on the 13th of June 2019. I was charged for not serving a 15-day notice period, resulting in a deduction of 14 days' salary. It took them 133 days to clear my full and final settlement. I have been subjected to a significant amount of harassment.
Please advise me on what steps I should take in this situation.
Thank you.

We cannot say whether you have been harassed or not without studying the issue in detail. If you had left the company without serving the required notice period despite the requests from the company, your actions could be viewed as unprofessional, especially if you held a managerial position. The notice period is essential for the establishment to find a suitable replacement for an outgoing employee. For unskilled workers, it may be more acceptable, but for officers or individuals with supervisory responsibilities, failing to serve the notice period is considered unethical.
I don't believe the company stands to gain much by withholding your 14 days' salary, but it can serve as a message to others who also leave without proper handover. Therefore, before questioning whether the company harassed you, please provide us with a background of the issue.

Hi, sir.
I am Sajid. My reason for leaving the job is the non-payment of salary from the date of my joining. I worked for 58 days as an associate executive, not a manager, and was recognized as the best performer of the month. However, despite everyone else at my consultancy receiving their salary, I did not receive mine, even though I performed better than others.
I incurred significant expenses for conveyance due to my marketing role. When I informed them that I would not work until I received my salary, they first tried to console me, then resorted to scare tactics, implying that if my performance decreased, I would be let go. I was assured that I would receive my salary within 24 hours, so I decided to wait and continued working for over 50 hours.
Afterwards, I submitted my resignation, and they initially tried to appear responsive. However, they later sent a warning message instructing me to hand over my resignation letter and complete the exit clearance process. I complied with their requests, but then they messaged me saying that if I did not work the 15-day notice period, they would deduct those 15 days' worth of salary from what I had already worked.
What should I do in this situation?

The company seems to be a very bad one. Not paying salary cannot be justified. I am afraid, why such diabolic vindictiveness? Anyway, it is better to leave the company taking whatever they pay. Otherwise, you will have to spend time in litigation, etc. Once you move against such companies, you will be targeted by other companies as well. But you can blacklist that company and send a message to your friends that the company never pays salary on time! This is an indirect way of letting down an organization.
