How an employee code is made and it should be maximum of how many digits?

I wish to set employee codes in my organization but i am not able to figure out the format. Kindly advice how an employee code is made and it should be maximum of how many digits.

Hi Ritika, There is no standard format for numbering employees. Just a number will do. If your are in a MNC, you may use country as suffix to the number ex: TI007. TI = Tekplay India
