Please find the online activation process for UAN under the EPF Scheme. The UAN activation can be done by the employees themselves. Please find the process in this regard.

Dear Members,
In addition to "UAN Activation" by employees themselves, EPFO has also introduced a feature/facility for PROSPECTIVE/NEW EMPLOYEES to generate UAN themselves (Direct UAN Allotment to Any Citizen).
The basic features are:
A) The new employee/prospective employee generates his own UAN based on AADHAAR (on the employee portal).
B) This UAN can be provided to the new employer for enrolling him in PF.

Dear Members,
Further to the above, EPFO has also come out with a circular "Pension-1/17(10)2016-17/Jeevan Parman/23945 dated 26 Mar 18", wherein initial enrollment to EPS 1995 can be done even WITHOUT AADHAAR (offline process). I presume this can also be used for UAN generation for individuals who do not have AADHAAR. I am unable to upload the circular at the moment but will try to upload it later.

I forgot my password. My previous mobile number is no longer in use. I haven't updated my PAN card or AADHAR card details. All OTPs are being sent to my old mobile number, which is no longer active. I forgot my password. Please guide me on how to generate a new password.

If you have lost your previous number linked with your UAN, then you need to follow the process (assuming your Aadhar is updated):
1. Click on "Forgot Password."
2. Enter your UAN and Captcha.
3. Click on "NO."
4. Validate the details registered with EPFO.

Hi friend,
One more way is applicable if your UAN is not activated. Go to the PF member portal, activate UAN, and enter the required details (UAN/Name/DOB/phone no). If the phone number is new to you, enter the new phone number, captcha, and click to generate an OTP for the entered phone number. Enter the OTP to activate your UAN and simultaneously generate a new password.
