Dear Sir,
I have a problem submitting the online annual return. In the year 2017, our company had two work orders. The first started in December 2016 and ended in August 2017, and the second started in September 2017. Now, as per the discussion with the labor inspector, he is asking us to submit two returns accordingly.
However, I only have one LIN number that was created at the time of the first work order/license, and it allows for only one annual return in a year. It is not clear to me where to obtain an LIN for the current contract.

You are filing a return for the year 2017 (1st January to 31st January). Is the labor license for both orders the same or different? If the labor license for both work orders is the same, only a single return is to be filed by combining the figures of both work orders. You have to generate one more LIN if you have more than one license. Please check the details at your end as per the above.

Hello,
For every contract labor license, a separate Labor Identification Number (LIN) is generated. You need to visit the Labor Office and inform them of your issue regarding not having an LIN for the second license. They will generate a new LIN for you through which you will be able to submit online returns under the Shram Suvidha Portal.
