Before designing the CTC breakup, you have to take into consideration the minimum wages applicable to your state, zone, and category of employees. Normally, the basic salary is 40-50% of the gross salary. You can also include HRA, which can be 50% of the basic salary. The remaining figure can consist of additional allowance or supplementary allowance. The employer's share of PF should be 12% of the basic salary, and ESIC should be 4.75% of the gross salary. Perform a reverse calculation.
