Dear member, there are conditions for eligibility to get Maternity Benefit (MB) under ESI Act, 1948 and rules/regulations framed thereunder. In addition, there are also periods called contribution period and corresponding benefit period which regulate the entitlement of insured person for benefits under said Act. Therefore, I suggest you to contact the appropriate Branch Office of ESIC to which you are attached to confirm about your eligibility to get MB under said Act. In order to obtain necessary medical certification, you can also contact ESI dispensary to which you are attached. ESIC Branch Office will pay the benefit only after getting necessary medical certification from said ESIS dispensary. With best wishes.
