Hi everyone,
If 'A' is working in a company in Karnataka with a 40k salary and decides to quit on the 10th day of June, what should be the deduction of PT from his salary by the employer? (Note: PT for Karnataka is above 15000k is 200pm and below 15000k is nil)

I hope he would have not received the salary of 15000/- and above. So there is no PT deduction

Hi,
Could you please guide me on how to file monthly contributions and annual returns for Professional Tax in Karnataka? Currently, the Professional Tax is being submitted by an agent, but we now need to file it ourselves. Can you please provide me with the process for doing so?
Thank you.

Hi As per my knowledge, PT is not computed on a pro-rata basis. Hence, Rs.200 needs to be deducted. Requesting others for more clarity. Regards Parikshit
