SAP HR Interview Questions
Q1. What is internal recruitment?
A1. Internal recruitment is the search for internal applicants. When integrated with personal development, you can use profile match-up to search for resources internally. Also, in recruitment, it is represented by 'P' as Person and 'AP' as an external person.
Q2. What are the problems generally faced while posting results to FICO?
A2. Normally, mismatching of amounts gets posted.
Q3. What is a controlling area, what does it do, and how is it assigned?
A3. A controlling area is under the FI person, which helps to set for costing purposes. Additionally, based on these, a fiscal variant is set.
Q4. What is the purpose of creating a symbolic account, and what is the transaction code for the same? Can we assign one symbolic account to multiple wage types?
A4. It depends on your payroll requirement to create a salary head like an expense account, etc.
Q5. What is the REPORT VARIANT FOR OFF-CYCLE ACTIVITIES, and what do we do in this step?
A5. The variant is to save all input field parameters. Once you save it as a variant, you can use the same for future purposes.
Q6. What are all the infotypes that have to be created at the time of hiring?
A6. PA40 and cannot be maintained later with PA30. Why do you require the creation of infotypes?
Q7. If we have to create multiple positions, what method or tool can we use to avoid errors due to creating them manually?
A7. You can create multiple positions by LSMW or batch programs for the Tcode PP01 or PPOCE.
Q8. What is a LANDSCAPE in SAP Project? I think it's related to the number of servers used. Please correct me if I am wrong, or what is it?
A8. It is related to Basis.
Q9. What is the role of an administrator in PA?
A9. To restrict access to Personnel Administration based on PA/PSA. Administrators are responsible for Personnel Administration, Time Management, and Payroll in SAP. Each administrator is responsible for an individual activity. You can find the name of the administrator on the payslip for any clarification.
Q10. What is go-live actually? What is the role of a functional consultant in it?
A10. Go-live is transferring data from the Development server to the Production server. In Quality, you need to conduct Unit and Integration testing. Once it is okay in the Quality server, you need to move it to Production.

Q1. How to group employees for their allowances in payroll?
A1. Go to basic salary in Payroll India and group the employees first depending on the allowances to be paid.
Q2. In OM, how to get details for a group of employees (e.g., group of Drivers in the organization)?
A2. Drivers can be identified based on their positions and job codes.
Q3. How is Time Management and Payroll integrated?
A3. Time Management and Payroll are integrated in ways where time data is collected and integrated using schemas.
Q4. What are the other modules integrated with OM?
A4. OM contains all the modules to be integrated, depending on client requirements.
Q5. In TM, if a group of employees gets 10 days of annual leave, what will be the time evaluation status?
A5. Time evaluation shows the details of leave taken by the employees.
Q6. Find the scenario and give the result: A, B, C are employees, where A, B will get Basic, HRA, DA. C gets Basic and DA. How to group for the allowances?
A6. Allowances are paid based on gradation and wages criteria.
