Hi Experts,

I’m a student at Christ University, Bangalore I’m presently pursuing my Post Graduation in Human Resource Psychology.
As part of my research, would be highly appreciated if you could please give your view on the importance of quality Training and Development in Hospitals in India.

The customer expectations and facility requirements in a hospital has tremendously gone up.
More than just for a cure in terms of health, customers look out for a psychological comfort and satisfaction. Customers walk in with a need to quench their emotional distraught with empathy and attention.

There remains a serious skill gap between nurses and doctors, especially in India. When doctors and nurses need to work hand in hand as team for a successful operation, there still exists disconnect in terms of communication, technical skills and even knowledge.

The nurses or even the front office staff need to be very well trained in proper communication, hospitality and an empathetic understanding.

Welcome your views...

Abhishek,

I agree with you on this factor. Especially in India, there is a strong difference in quality and skills between nurses and doctors. To bridge this gap, effective in-house training is very much required.
