Hi,
I have recently joined a newly started company as an HR professional. This company is in the IT sector, and they commenced their business a year ago. They do not have any HR personnel to guide them on how to set up everything in the company. I need some suggestions from your end on how I should proceed with setting up all HR and organizational procedures.
Kindly help.
Thanks,

If all things are required to set up from HR and organizational point of view, then either you need an experienced professional or outsource it to a consultant. At any given point in time, more than 15 acts/state rules would be applicable with hundreds of compliance registrations. This is without any consideration of HR aspects related to HRIS, talent management processes, policies, etc.

Hi Jitesh,
To start with, you must define the company's organizational structure. You should then start working on HR structuring. You need to take care of three verticals in HR - HR, IR, and FMS. You should outline the organizational requirements and then design HR job descriptions. Next, you should categorize HR jobs into outsourced and in-house roles. For example, you can outsource recruitment, payroll, housekeeping, etc. This decision will depend on your AOP/budgeting. Once this is established, either hire people for the job or sign contracts to engage professional assistance.
I hope this advice will help you progress further in your role.
For any further clarifications, please reply.
