My query is with EDLI calculation.
1. I want to know how EDLI is calculated according to new P.F ceiling limit .
2. How much minimum contribution is required ?
3. Procedure & documents required to settle the claim.

Salary means what ? Please clear 24 times of what ?
1. Through some source i came to know about the calculation by P.F department for EDLI.
Formula ;- Average basic * 20 + 20%
Is it true ???.
2. At the time of calculation does PF balance of employee is considered ?

Mr. Abbas has replied you as per the latest circular of Sept 2014 of EPFO. Salary means average of last 12 months of EPF wages (the wage on which EPF contribution is being deducted). I request Abbas to clarify how this average salary will be calculated in case of sad demise of an employee before completing 12 months of service.

1. For e.g an employee who have subscribe in P.F since two months his basic is 5000, suddenly he passed away . In such case how pf department calculates his EDLI portion ,
