Dear Sir,

Can anybody tell me if the salary of an employee is Rs. 9500/- (Basic Rs. 6000/-, Allowances Rs. 3500/-)? In this situation, is the employer liable to pay a bonus on the total of Rs. 6000/- or is their liability to the extent of Rs. 3500/-? In other words, does the employer have the option to pay a bonus only on Rs. 3500/-? If there are any rules or publications in this regard, please email me the same. Furthermore, please inform me when the limit of Rs. 10000/- will be applicable. Please send me a copy of the notification.

Best regards,

PG
