Dear Archana18k,

Greetings for the day.

Can you please confirm whether your name is appearing in the passbook or account statement? Please review the enclosed circular as well.

Thanks & Regards,

The notice affixed in the earlier post specifically talks of a joint account with the spouse. Since the original question was specifically for the poster's mother, the joint account cannot be used. The poster needs to, therefore, open a bank account of his own.

Hi Sumit,

Should my name appear in either the passbook or account statement with the joint account with my spouse?

In the bank account details, it is only mentioned that my name is the nominee and my husband is the primary account holder.

I do not understand why it would be difficult to open a bank account in your single name. You can consider using a joint account with your husband (refer to the previous notification from the PF department that was posted earlier). Bringing a nominee is definitely not going to work.

Dear Archana, Greetings for the day, No it can’t be possible as because your name should appear in A/C holder name insted of nomination. Thanks & Regards, From, Sumit Kumar Saxena
