Dear Seniors,

I completed an MBA in HR from a college affiliated with Pune University and later worked for 2 years in a manufacturing company. The job did not interest me because I had to handle all administrative work such as maintaining office expenses and obtaining certificates from government offices for MPCB, DIC, etc. I only worked on payroll-related tasks once a month. I was merely a namesake HR Executive in that company, and I left the job in August 2013. Now, I am seriously contemplating my career. I have a keen interest in the field of IT Recruitment. I studied IT as part of my B.Sc. in Mathematics degree from Mumbai University. However, I am unsure about how to pursue an entry-level IT Recruiter position. I am willing to accept a lower salary than my previous job. Therefore, I would appreciate some advice on how to secure an entry-level IT Recruiter position. What skills are essential for an IT Recruiter? What kind of questions are typically asked in an IT Recruiter interview? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Moreover, if you have any information on where I can find walk-ins for entry-level IT Recruiter positions, please do let me know.

Regards,

Tony Fernandes
