Dear Deepa,

The leave policy might largely remain the same, depending on the nature of work. How is the workflow designed? If you have daily work allocation and targets that account for 8.5 hours of work to be delivered from home, it equates to your employees at your office. Facetime is demanding, which is why the employees at your office might have a higher propensity to apply for leaves. Telecommuting eases this issue, hence there might be fewer declared hours for breaks.

Could you please tell us more about the nature of the work and the level of these employees?

Thank you.

These employees are working as a member of technical support team.
Sometime they go on filed to solve the technical issues; hence it is bit difficult to track their working hours.
Current leave policy is-
12 - EL, 8 - CL and 6 - SL.
Employees can en-case the EL and SL by end of year.
These employees en-cash maximum number of leaves by end of year as compare to the employee who are working from office.
We don’t have any system where we can track there timings.
We want to do some changes in leave policy to make it more effective.
Even we are not following the late mark policy for the employees who are working from home.
