Hi Friends,
Recently, I have applied for PF claim after a gap of 5 years. I received the rejection letter from the PF office stating that the claim was already settled in 2008. I inquired with my previous company about this issue. They forwarded my email to their third-party service provider, and the service provider replied that they had received the PF claim application in 2008. I have registered my grievance with the EPFO website. What else should I do? Is it possible to get the amount now, or is it a lost case?
Thanks, Rajvinder

Hi Ravinder,
If you are sure you have not received any funds from PF, then there is nothing to worry about. You have to fight for that, and you will get it. Ask the third-party service provider to provide details for claiming PF funds and to which account the same has been transferred.
Since you have already registered a grievance online, it is better to approach the PF commissioner in the relevant office.

Please check your bank accounts since 2008 and see whether there was any remittance from EPFO. If not, take a Xerox of your PF account passbook from 2008 to the present date. If you do not have a passbook, obtain a statement of your savings account from your bank since 2008. After confirming that you have not received any payment from EPFO, send a letter to the relevant PF SRO. Include the details of your PF account number, a Xerox of your bank passbook or account statement, and submit these through the third-party service provider of your previous employer. Mention that the earlier settlement payment cheque may have been returned to the EPFO SRO and request to re-credit that amount to your bank account.
