Are there any differences between the rules of the Bombay Shops and Establishments Act and the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act? I am more concerned about the rules regarding establishments. I have conducted a comparative search but did not come across any differences. Please help.

Hi,
The major difference in S&E rules between BSE and TSE is registration under the act. Under the Bombay Shops Act, registration is mandatory whereas under the Tamil Nadu Shops Act, it is not mandatory. Apart from this, there are some differences in maintaining registers. Under BSE, you can maintain a common register Form-2 instead of maintaining separate registers like Muster, Wage, Advance, Deductions, Fine Registers, and leave book, etc.
