FOOT IN MOUTH SYNDROME.
Have you ever made a verbal blunder at work place and desperately regretted later ?
If your answer is “Yes” , then you are infected with what is known as “Foot in Mouth Disease FMD” Or “Foot in Mouth Syndrome (FMS).
This presentation deals with communication disorders in workplace where you tend to be over impulsive either in conversation or action and end up in a messy situation.
I attempted to classify the “Foot in Mouth” syndrome into four categories and in which category the majority of the working class stands. It also tells the dangerous zones when an employee loosens his tongue and the precautions he should take to stay clear of controversies.
You will find the presentation useful. Please post your comments.

Dear Sambasi,

Wonderful, you have aptly brought out the essence of FMS. Usually, people get carried away when they are in a spiteful mood or when they are exhilarated and are unable to contain themselves. They get a feeling that they can get away with anything and later have to repent for long. Many compliments for your efforts.

Thank you all.

It seems that I was having FIM problems when I started this thread. There are typographical errors in the title and in the attachment which I realized later. I am embarrassed.

Thanks once again for your appreciations and feedback.

Well said and worth focusing on to avoid potential damage. Since the speed of thought is much faster than the speed of spoken words, one has to pause during the delivery of words. This is a preventive disorder.

Keep posting such stimulating emails.

Hi Sambasi,

I really enjoyed your FIM presentation. We often discuss communication, but rarely do we see a presentation that delves into the core of poor communication. I am sure that this will be very useful to some people who spend hours wondering where they went wrong and what to do about it.

Excellent presentation. I did face such situations, and most of the time, it was unconscious with consequences. The key is to be aware of it. Awareness is the key. Some people have it naturally. Every individual will have this firm with a varied degree. This gives insight to control the damage.
