I just wanted to share that it is definitely a proud moment for the HR community, especially for me, as I am currently associated with Sridhar Gurivisetty in his team at Hitachi Consulting. It is a great experience working with him on a daily basis!

It is admirable to see leaders like him at work, where they motivate and educate you at every step!

Hello Keshav Korgaonkar,

That's a good idea to give the list of the 40 most talented HR leaders in India. I am with other members—such attention and acclaim act as a proactive step for other HR professionals to excel. It also gives a happy and pleasant feeling when we get to know that among CiteHR members, someone who works on a day-to-day basis, Shahnaz, is associated with one of the leaders.

TS

Hello Sid,

While I do appreciate Keshav Korgaonkar's suggestion about 'offering them as Super Moderator', I think we seem to be thinking through the 'heart' in a situation where 'thinking through the head' seems to be the necessity.

Let me explain.

The very word 'Moderator' INCLUDES & PRESUPPOSES a very active involvement by the member in the discussions, in addition to 'moderating' within the discussions where varying points of view are put forth and discussed. Now, how many of these HR Leaders would have the kind of time to actively get involved in the threads/discussions, given that invariably ALL of them are senior Corporate HR functionaries? AND, how many among them would have the 'willingness' for such an 'involving' activity?

However, it does seem to be logical and realistic to utilize the wide and varied experience of such Leaders--so instead of putting them in the league of Moderators, how about using a different nomenclature for such HR Leaders--like Mentor, Chief Mentor, etc.? Something akin to what is used in the IT industry--Project Manager and Program Manager... only the concept being similar.

Just give this angle a thought.

Regards,

TS
