Thank you for the valuable suggestion. But I don't have any idea how I can get information on various pay scales of different companies. Are the details available on any sites? If so, please suggest websites where I can find information about it. I am particularly interested in pay scales of engineering firms.

It is only through known contacts that you can have the information, but that will not be validated by the person giving it. However, the pay scales of the Government of India and state governments are available on their websites. Moreover, you have to inform the posts for which you need the pay scales.
