Hi all,

As I searched on the internet, my company "XXX" is mentioned as a fake company, but it is not true. Our company is 6 years old and has our own in-house development products and patented solutions that are being used by government, semi-government, and private organizations - with almost 700 clients spread across India.

How can I get our company removed from the list of fake companies? Please guide me on how to resolve this issue.

Dear Mr. Suren28_v@yahoo.co.in,

There are certainities in fake reviews on different sites. First, check the site information that displays your company's details. If you believe you can contact the particular subscriber, it may work out for you.

Public review websites allow anyone to post online reviews. If the review or related information is fake or invalid, you can flag the content as spam, and the authorized site publisher will note your complaint for review and potential removal.

Although the threat persists, the best approach to address it is to file a case against websites spreading erroneous information. Ensure your evidence is sufficient and proceed to file a decree both legally and ethically.

Dear Sharmila,

I present to you my case. Please consider looking at this post from CiteLegal regarding public defamation. My effort is to segregate a genuine complaint from an agenda-based effort disclaimers.

Is there any disclaimer/notice to be issued by an internet firm where any concern from an individual needs to be first notified to the company before lodging a complaint or a public outcry in the media? In case the individual reports to the media, including print, electronic, and social, without informing the firm, they stand liable up to a defamation case.

The motive to look for this information is to make sure a genuine concern gets acknowledged without letting it be used as a publicity stunt for or against any company or individual.

Dear Ms. (Cite Contribution),

There is not much knowledge on the gripes of legal aspects, therefore the information that I have may be of use. If the individual is a victim of such adverts, the first company/organization that you can approach is the Internet Crime Complaint Center. According to the Internet Crime Complaint Center's mission, their goal is to provide a safe, effective, and approachable platform for consumer complaints on the internet including identity theft, fake websites, computer hacking, etc. Check with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) | Home.

If the information that you received is genuine, your concern will be acknowledged.
