Hi, I would just like to ask if employee under "no work no pay" policy is entitled for holiday pay? Your response on this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks, pegge evelyn

Hi,
In Philippine setting, there were ways of determining when and how to pay holiday credits. if you are a daily paid employee, then once you did not report for work on a "special holiday" then you will not have a holiday pay which is 30%. If it is a "Legal Holiday" then once you go to work day before the holiday you are entitled for an 8hr pay or a 100%. However if you are a monthly paid employee, then if you work in a Special holiday you will receive a 30% and if you did not work, then you will still have 100%. it is like saying you will not be marked as absent. if it is a legal holiday then if you work on that specific date then Plus 100%, if you did not work, you will not be marked as absent.
