Dear All,
I have joined a startup company, and I have experience only in the recruitment field. I am blank as I do not have any experience in core HR, and I am supposed to work on it myself as there is no one to guide me. I want to know what the basic needs are for a startup company with respect to the HR dept. I have gathered some information mentioned below and need your help in setting up the HR dept:
1. Letter of intent
2. Offer letter
3. Appointment letter format with ALL CLAUSES
4. Cancellation of Offer letter
5. Welcome letter formats for New Joinees
6. Increment letter format
7. Termination Letter
8. Employee information sheet format
9. Monthly/daily attendance maintenance format and also Monthly Payroll Calculation format in Excel Sheet
10. The process of post-recruitment
Apart from the above, what are the other things that are supposed to be in place in the HR dept of a startup company?
Regards,
Latha

Hello Latha,
This is definitely a very good opportunity for you to learn and perform - something not many get during their initial career stages.
First and foremost, make a priority list of what you and your company want to have in place - for which you will need to have a few extended sessions with your boss (I presume it's the MD, since you mentioned it's a start-up).
Next, please make full use of the research facility at the top of this page in this excellent forum - you are sure to get many inputs you need.
In case you need any specific input or have any specific queries, please feel free to post it - the chances of getting focused suggestions/inputs are much higher that way.
All the best.

Hi Sateesh,
Thank you so much for the encouragement. I am asked to prepare the required formats first. We have to recruit sales executives, a sales manager, and I need to create the required documents for recruiting employees. In fact, I have not received my appointment letter.
What are the documents needed while recruiting employees? Please help me in this regard.

Dear All,
First of all, I would like to say sorry to Mr./Ms. B. Sahay for using his/her thread for posting my query, as I am new to this group and I don't know how to post a query.
I am working as a Manager - Admin & HR for a group of companies. Under one company, we are opening a new restaurant for which recruitment has been ongoing for the last two months and is almost complete. However, the new joiners have still not submitted basic recruitment-related documents such as ID proof, address proof (permanent & temporary), PAN card number, Employee joining form, and experience letter.
They have all been hired by one of my colleagues (who was hired on a contractual basis solely for recruiting and managing restaurant staff) based on instructions from our senior (director).
I have been waiting for all the documents for the past two months. Yesterday, I discussed this issue with my senior (director). They advised me to issue a notice to the new joiners clearly stating that they will not be considered employees of the company and that the company will not be responsible for any activities of these individuals; they are essentially like daily workers for us.
I need help in drafting this notice as I am not familiar with legal terminology and I want to ensure our company does not face any trouble or legal issues due to these employees.
I look forward to your assistance.
