Dear All,

Critical Thinking is one of the most sought-after competencies today. Are you a critical thinker? Are your leaders in your organization armed with the requisite critical thinking skills to take the organization to a new level?

I urge you to try out the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal Tool, which gives accurate scores on a person's Critical Thinking capacity. This is further broken down into:
a. Recognizing Assumptions
b. Evaluation of Arguments
c. Drawing Conclusions

This is a Pearson Tool now available in India with Indian norms and Indian adaptation. There is a development angle also attached to this now with the new Development Report, which comes with a built-in development plan per test taker.

In case you want a sample development or wish to try this tool in your organization report, please write to me.

Hi,

In addition to the above test, my own suggestion is that people need to adopt the following strategies to improve their thinking skills:

- Challenge assumptions, e.g., see how you can improve the work environment or existing reports.
- Be open to change, e.g., look at problems as opportunities to harness your ability and talents.
- Experiment, e.g., it could be trying out different cuisine or changing your lifestyle.
- Read extensively, e.g., read a mix of fiction, professional, humor, GK related, etc.

For many of you reading the following inspirational and motivational blogs would provide a good starting point immediately:
