Hi All,

I completed my B-Tech in IT in 2006 and have been working in recruitment for the past 3 years. I am considering pursuing an MBA in HR through Distance learning at Symbiosis/IGNOU. I seek your suggestions on whether I should opt for MBA in HR or MBA in IT, which could potentially lead me towards roles such as project coordinator, PMO, or Business Analyst given my IT background.

I look forward to hearing your recommendations.

Thanks,
Suresh

Dear Suresh,

As of now, you have three years of experience in recruitment, right? It would be better for you to go for an MBA in HR because nowadays, companies are hiring HR managers in IT companies based on the experience of the recruiter (in your recruitment field). So, you have a very good opportunity to pursue an MBA in HR.

Hi,

I also completed my B.Tech in ECE in the year 2008. After that, I pursued some additional courses in India before moving to the Gulf by 2010, where I am currently employed in a company. However, I now realize that pursuing higher studies should have been my priority over a job. I am considering enrolling in a distance learning MBA program, as I believe it is a good idea.
