Hi, I am working in an IT - MNC company for past two years. Earlier was handling all the HR activities of the company alone, also had one assistant but she has also left. I was on my marriage leave and my company, recruited one HR Manager. I was asked to report to manager after i came from leave, earlier was reporting to GM and CEO of the company. However the entire creamy job is taken care by new HR and junior recruitments are taken care by me. Moreover my company CEO informed that company has plans of expansion in some cases i am not taken into consideration. I am finding this situation quite uncomfortable. I don't want to leave job since I and my husband are working in same company. But can you suggest what should I do,do I have future with company.

Sorry to hear about your situation. But then, you need to sort it out; otherwise, you will surely lose interest in your work. Why don't you talk to your seniors (CEO & GM) about this? Tell them how uncomfortable you are feeling with this new HR Manager stepping in. After all, if you have been working in that company for the last 2 years, surely you must have built a good rapport with them.
Also, start working even harder than before so that you can win the confidence of this new manager, and perhaps he might assign you additional responsibilities that will boost your morale as well. I hope everything turns out the way you want them to!

I propose 2 suggestions to you to help you judge your career:
1) Talk with the management about your current situation, your inner feelings, and discomfort. If things are cleared, it is absolutely fine. Also, talk with the HR Manager about the role you were handling, and make him understand your importance in the organization. If the HR manager is really true, he will take things in a positive way.
2) In life, your family is important to you. You have to decide on your career. Discuss with your husband, take a decision, and consider changing your organization. Definitely, things will flow in a better way. Decisions should not be delayed. Have confidence in yourself. You are the best. All the best.

Thank you for giving me suggestions. I have talked with seniors and expressed my desire to be part of the team, especially when new policies are being made, so I can provide my input as well. Although they agreed, recently I have noticed that the new HR and management have been making decisions without considering me, even though I make an effort to involve the new HR. I have dedicated a lot of hard work to the company to improve things.
After discussing with my husband, we have decided that I will be leaving the job. If any of you are aware of any HR vacancies in Ahmedabad, please let me know. As I am currently handling numerous recruitments, it may be challenging for me to secure a new job quickly.

So, you seem to be in a fix again, huh? Well, it sure seems like a difficult situation. But then, as Avi said, you alone can make the best decision for yourself. All we can do is give you certain suggestions.
So what I suggest is:
1. Remain calm and analyze both the situations, i.e., your present job as well as the offer in hand.
2. Consider the pros and cons of both.
3. You have already been with this company for the last 2 years. Is it still worth it? Because tomorrow again, there may be a new HR Manager, and maybe this time, he is going to stick with this company. There are still chances you may again feel insecure about your job.
4. Then, there is this new job offer, where everything is going to be completely new for you. New challenges, new environment, new people to deal with.
So, you decide what you want. Where would you be happy? Because once you make a decision, there is no looking back. And then, it would be futile thinking, "I wish I had done something when I had a chance."
Honestly, I feel you should take up the new offer (of course, if it is good), but then hey, you are the one to decide!
