Hi Friends,
I have my best friend who is expecting an answer to this question. Help me with this question. He has to choose between joining one of these two companies (Infosys or Religare). He has been selected by both but has only received a joining date from Religare, which he must join by the end of this month; however, there has been no communication from Infosys.
He has 14 months of experience as both a developer and a tester. I am looking forward to a good reply.

Bharanidharan,
Let yourself be guided by the oldest proverb: "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." (It is better to accept or be content with what one has than to try to get more and risk losing everything).

If you decide to wait, then you are at risk of losing the Religare offer if the Infosys offer doesn't come. So, join what you have in hand. Practically, if the Infosys offer comes in, then the point of thinking would come.
Also, if your friend can contact the HR of Infosys, then he should consult with them about the offer letter.

In 99% of cases, "We will update" in HR terminology means we are not sure to hire you or not. Don't mind me saying that, but that's a bitter reality. So, it's better you take the offer in hand. If by chance the offer from Infosys comes, then review their terms and conditions of employment, package, and probation period. If all suits you, then consider leaving Religare. Otherwise, have a happy stay there.
