Hi Njeyasree,

I am doing my Ph.D. on employee retention in the banking sector. I have an idea to select 6 or 8 private banks for my study. Please help me in framing the questionnaire and also with the tools to be used in the analysis.

Thank you.

Dear Jeyasree,

Please see my post on research methodology and publishing papers (Author Workshop) at CiteHR. Before you can frame a questionnaire, you need to study previous papers published in that field to learn what others have done, how, and why.

The Ph.D. thesis has to add something new to the knowledge bank, and if you repeat what others might have already done by the time you complete yours, you may not even be awarded the degree.

Have a nice day.

Dear simhan, Thank you for your kind advice and informative message. How can i locate author workshop at CiteHR? Once again thank you for your kind reply. Regards, Jeyasree

The way to search for info at CiteHR is to click on "Search Forum" when on the Recent Posts' page and search for posts by Nashbramhall on Research Methodology and Publishing.

To save you the trouble, I have searched, and here is the site reference https://www.citehr.com/64483-study-w...employees.html where I have given links to https://www.citehr.com/219355-resear...-training.html for Research Methodology and to <link outdated-removed> for Publishing Papers.

Hope you find them useful.

Have a nice day.

Jeyashree,

I am a little surprised that someone who is already pursuing a PhD does not know how to prepare a questionnaire. I do hope you come out with something good at the end of your research.

Dear Simhan sir,

Thank you for your great help regarding the questionnaire design site. It is highly useful for me in framing questionnaires. Also, help me in collecting reviews of literature on my topic. If you can provide a website like this, I can gather materials from it.

Thanks a lot.

Dear Xavier sir,

Thank you for your reply. Framing a questionnaire is the first step in my topic. So, I asked for help in framing it as Simhan sir guided. If you have any ideas, please share them with me.

Thanks

Dear Jeyasree, I have to do the same as you to provide links to websites: that is search the web. Also, framing questions comes after the literature survey and not before. Best wishes Simhan

Dear Jeyasree,

Great that you are pursuing your doctorate; not everybody does it. Therefore, summoning help and giving help are both fair means to my mind. Now, to get down to brass tacks, please find attached a book on questionnaire design, development, and administration. Additionally, I have included the Memphis Talent Acquisition plan, the Deloitte Talent Management Approach, and a very useful excerpt of a paper on Retention Concepts with a built-in link. These are some of the supportive materials for my MBA Final Dissertation Project on Talent Acquisition, Retention, and Development.

Hope this helps you.
