Hi,
I need some help from those who have been working in IT Recruitment for the last 2-3 years. If anyone has any useful references for someone new to IT Recruitment (specifically in Microsoft technology, SAP, ABAP, Java, testing, Oracle, etc.), or knows of a helpful site, please suggest it to me or send it to mausumipatnaik@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Mausam

Hi,
For IT recruitment, the main thing to notice is the skill sets required. Also, pay extra attention to the type of database and languages worked on with the primary skill. The golden rule is to never try to approach a candidate who is working for a bigger company and convince him to appear for an interview with a smaller organization. Also, check if the candidate is trying to change his job within 6 months of joining; this could indicate incompetence or an inability to work well with others, meaning they may struggle in a team environment. The best candidates you'll find are often those who are outsourced by smaller companies and work in larger companies. However, you should have a fair knowledge of the skills for which you are recruiting. Please look up www.whatis.com to find out more about the skills you are seeking.
Hope this will help you. Please let me know.

Hi,
Can anyone send me some detailed mentioned tools that come under specific technologies? Which tools fall under database management, and what tools are available for testing purposes? I need a quick reference guide. Please provide some details.

Hi everyone,
My regards first to all, new user here. Can you please tell me how to use a job portal? I have completed my M.E., and I have the interest to work as a recruiter. Could you please suggest some interview questions that will be asked and how to answer them?
Thank you.

Hi,
I would suggest that you sit with the person who has given you the requirement and understand the requirement and even the project for which the person is hired. Also, sit with the technical team who are going to shortlist the profile and are involved in conducting interviews, so that your rejection rate will be low.
Regards,
Jyothi

Hi,
Using a job portal is easy; the only trick is the keywords you use should not narrow your search too much.
If you are using the Naukri portal, you can invite them to your office premises, and they will come to give you a demo as well.

Jyothi
