  • Hi dharmesh
Now i got an idea what excatly you are looking for so for that try to contact some good HR managers from the industry thus they can come.
For this specific purpose you can use two basic things
First directly give a call to all major Hr mangers & top management.
Second try to conduct a event like alununai or something which will give you a reason to call so many people at one place.

  • Dear Dharmesh,
Without knowing the size of your institution and the budget that you have to organise a summit, it's not easy to give precise advice. However, a general advice is please check the web to see how others have done. For example I just searched and found 1.8 million hits at Google
If you have good facilities in your institution you can hold it there and it will be less expensive. You may have to pay expenses if you invite people from a distance. I am no HR expert but conduct seminars on Research Methodology and How to Publish Papers, when I visit India for my holidays. Institutions pay my expenses, etc. You can see my profile at
Mr. Umesh (SUMI71 at citehr) of Promentor has arranged HR meets in Bangalore and he may be able to guide you.
    Have a lovely day.

  • Start by asking yourself what topics will meet the HR needs of your institutes. Pen them down. Then reach out to HR managers and consultants who will be willing to speak on such topics. To reduce cost, look out for HR managers hows company want to promote their names. They most likely will be willing to do it for free. Remember to ask them to send in their papers well ahead of time so your can arrange an agenda.

Then determine what the size of your audience will be. Have a place that will house the number of persons to come. Since you want to promote your institute, you may want to invites persons who are not members of your institute to come and see things for themselves.

Pay attention to timing. When will it hold as per period of the year - what month? what day? what time of the day?. Your timing should take into consideration the ease at what people will be willing and able to attend.

The difficult part of it is putting together a database of attendees. This is important so you can prepared for and manage such things as refreshment, manuals etc

Please search the internet for more information.

  • Hi,

HR summit is basically an excellent interaction group for corporates along with students. It serves the following purpose

    1. Corporates can suggest a few of their current HR challenges & fresher MBA students to research on the same
    2. It can be a good opportinity for your college to brand itself which will help during placements.

I suggest you initatite the following from your team.

    1. Creat a core goup , there will be lots of coordination activities that will happen when you are driving this event. You would need about 5-7 students in place .

    2. Invite a few of your proffessors and brainstorm the agenda of the summit.

    3. work out the logistics in terms of venue , sponsrship etc , invitations etc.
