My warm regards to all.
This is Namrata. I am a student of MBA (Hospital Administration), and my course curriculum involves summer training in a hospital to gain practical exposure to hospital management. My area of interest is HR, but I have already completed training in the HR department of a reputed hospital. This is my final training during my MBA, and I am a little confused about whether I should focus on HR or operations for this summer project. Exploring operations could provide me with a broader understanding of hospital administration and open up new areas for me in the hospital. I would appreciate your suggestions on what I should do and also any topic that involves the application of management principles.

Dear Namrata,
Jacob has given good advice. Having knowledge and experience of operations helps HR professionals, and vice versa. Hence, please consult the authorities on which aspect you should focus on during training to assist them. Search the web for suitable articles; for example, I found one on Team Work that covers both HR and Operations at Emerald: Article Request - A case study into operational team-working within a UK hospital (Search on Cite | Search on Google).
Another article is on pharmacy (Search on Cite | Search on Google).
I found these articles through a Google search.
Have a nice day.

Hi all, good evening! My name is Aditya, and I am pursuing a Hospital Administration Course along with Hospital Tourism from Apollo via correspondence. I have more than 7 years of experience in administration with non-medical companies, including civil construction, the service industry, and an electronics MNC. I want to know about my prospects in the hospital industry after completing my postgraduate course in Hospital Administration. Could you please share your insights on this? Thank you for your support and guidance.
Thanks & Regards,
Aditya Chandra Bangalore
