Hi, I gave resignation from my present job (a reputed BPO Co. in Gurgaon). Now, I am serving my notice period which completes on July 17th. I want to withdraw my PF amount. I am very confused about the procedure. Besides Form 19, do I need to fill any other form? Can I apply for PF withdrawal just after July 17th? Does my HR manager provide me return Form-10 and Form-3A? I need your sincere help.

Hi Suraj,

The general process of PF withdrawal is that, a minimum of 2 months after your date of leaving, a PF claim can be submitted. So, you need to wait for at least 2 months before submitting your PF claim forms. Secondly, there is no need to fill any other forms; you only need to fill Forms 19 & 10C. Other documents like Form 5, 10, Form 3A, etc., will be provided by your employer. PF claim submission is the responsibility of the employer, not the employees; however, if any employee wishes to submit the claim themselves, they can do so with the proper documentation.

I hope you understand the PF withdrawal process. If you want to know more, you can write to me.

Hi Suraj,

Start the process after 60 days of leaving the job. Simply fill out Form 19 & 10C and attach your Form 3A with the proper signature of your employer. You can either submit this form through your employer and then claim the acknowledgment slip, or you can submit the form yourself at the Gurgaon PF office. The address is Plot no. 43, Sector-44, Bhavishya Nidhi Building.

Hello, this is Amit here. My friend has worked for only five months in the NGO. Now, he has resigned from his post and has also completed his notice period. Please, sir, suggest to me whether he is liable to withdraw the PF amount. The problem is that the admin informed him that he is not eligible for the PF as he did not complete six months with the organization. Are there any legal complications in this situation? Thank you.
