Please any one explain what is gratuity calculation in case of death or disablement of an employee? and
whether an employee will be eligible for the gatuity, even if he dies or gets disablement on very first day of joining? Is it so, what is the calculation method..??

Dear Vassu,
Gratuity calculation is one & the same in all cases. No gratuity is payable on less than one year of continuous service in case of death to the nominee or legal heirs of the employee. According to the PG Act,1972 one will notice that we fill up or received nomination form from the employee on completion of one year of service.
