Hi Friends! Can someone please help me understand absenteeism better by giving an answer to the below-mentioned example and the logic behind the answer, please?

Out of 10 employees in an organization, 2 are not present for a particular day. Out of these 2 employees, 1 has applied for leave one week back, and the leave is sanctioned by the concerned supervisor. The second employee has not applied for leave and provided no intimation.

In this case, the absenteeism rate for that particular day would be 10% or 20%.

absences could be a indicator for employee dissatisfaction with his work role or immediate senior or cos polices etc ie attrition indicator analyse the leave patterns for various factors

only the second one would be counted towards unsched absences. did the first one take leave after the roster was released, if no it will be counted
