Hi Sanjay,

This is a very sensitive and alarming global issue of prime concern. Every prudent individual must contribute to it by simply saving water wherever possible for the benefit of their coming generations.

Hi,

The presentation is so good that it evokes in me a thought to drink some water. Water, the elixir of life, its preciousness is accepted by all beings, and scarcity for that wonderful liquid is going to be a hard task for all. Do share more of such intensely thought-provoking PowerPoint presentations.

Hello Sanjay,

Very good and useful information. We all need to seriously think about this problem. Each one of us can save some water in our daily routine, which will make a big difference. I have already started... Let's jointly make a difference.

Good information and nicely framed PPT!

One more point we all need to focus on is the pollution of water. Saving water alone will not secure our future generations. We need to raise awareness about reducing water pollution, afforestation, and using eco-friendly products.

I always have wondered why our governments do not spread this message among people. I still remember when I was a kid, DD used to run an ad about saving water in flushing by putting a water bottle inside the flush so that less of the water is drained out. The only thing is that water is available to us at a very low cost, and that is the reason we do not care for it. Had it been available at a high cost like electricity, then obviously the wastage would not have been so high. But seriously, people need to understand the importance of these natural resources and use them effectively. Thanks for the message, I shall spread the word. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your great effort. This issue pertains not only to India but to the entire world. At least we have some resources; when you visit other small countries in Asia, they are merely drinking sewage water that is cleaned only to about 70%. I will definitely share this information globally.

My dear Sanjay,

The presentation highlights the alarming situation in a lucid way. I will forward it to my network of more than 750 friends. I have decided to screen this presentation in all my workshops/seminars, irrespective of the topic/type of audience. When I showed this to my son, who normally keeps the tap open while brushing, he nodded to keep the tap closed as far as possible, without any usual arguments. The message is so clear and powerful. Let's spread this message and try to save water.

Thanks & regards,

Notice for change in conditions of service
Hi All,

I am working as Deputy Manager in a Chemical factory in Punjab. The company have 3 more units in Haryana. Due to recession our company has shut down its operations from the last 3 months and decided to get transferred most of their employees with immediate effect in other units. Now recently the management has displayed the following notice : -

The following policy will be observed:

1.Those employees who opt for shifting to other units will be treated on deputation. Their salaries will be prepared at their earlier place of working and ESI & EPF deducted as on present. They will be paid traveling charges as per actual and back on completion of the deputation period.
Accommodation at transferred place as well as conveyance from place of stay to factory and back will be provided by company while expenses for meal will be borne by the employee .
2.Those who don’t want to shift will first avail of their due - leave, after exhausting their leave, they will be paid 30% of their CTC per month whose CTC is more than Rs. 7500/-and 40% of their CTC per month whose CTC is less than Rs. 7500/-

In my opinion as per Sec-9A of the ID Act the management should give 21 days prior notice to the employees.

Kindly advise.

Jatinder Pahwa

Dear Jitender,

Notice for a change in conditions of service will come into picture only for those employees who are workmen under the ID Act, 1947. Before that, you should also refer to your standing orders. Again, standing orders are applicable to those who are covered under the Industrial Employment Standing Order Act, 1946. Please refer to the transfer policy of the organization also.
