Hello Richa,
First, you have to put a title for your project and then draw a hypothesis. Make objectives for your work, prepare a methodology for collecting data, be careful while preparing questionnaires and making surveys, analyze the results, and then draw some conclusions.
Having a day-to-day work schedule will help you a lot. If you can provide the exact information about what you need to know, I can help you.

Hi Vamsi,
Thank you for your concern. I have been working on a project on HR functions in general, which includes Training and Development (T&D), recruitment and selection, promotions and demotions, transfers, etc. Therefore, I have titled it "HR Functions in the Banking Sector in India."
I have read a lot of theory about all the topics you have suggested, but I am unsure of how to implement them practically. Could you please provide some practical ideas on the type of hypothesis I can formulate, what my objectives should be, and the methodology I should follow?
Thank you once again.
Richa.

Hi, surely Richa.
When you are mainly focusing on the banking sector, i.e., the service sector, you have to differentiate the HR functions from other sectors like manufacturing.
If you observe, in the banking sector, the HR functions mainly deal with recruitment, selection, and, as you said, T&D activities. Labour legislation and other trade union matters are the least bothered issues.
You can also find information on how HR played a vital role during the last recession period.
Many people think that theory is different from practice, but the real fact is that theory acts as a foundation for practice. Let's take an example from our homes: we may not use the foundation for our day-to-day activities; we just depend on the floor. Just imagine if the foundation was not properly established, would the floor be strengthened? Likewise, your theory also serves as a foundation for your conceptual understanding.
It's great to hear that you have sound knowledge of theory. Try to examine in the workplace how theory translates into practice.
Hypothesis: It is nothing but what you expect from research, the pre-assumption of results. For example, if you are conducting a survey on job satisfaction in 'X' industry, your hypothesis could be 'X' industry employees have more job satisfaction. But be careful; your research is more powerful when your hypothesis is supported by positive results.
I hope this information can help you. If you want more details, contact me at vamsimallempati@gmail.com.
