Hi,
I have one query on negotiation: You are the HR manager in a new MNC. You have been asked to hire a person specifically from another company. The person is 45 years old, has been working in that organization for over 18 years, and is very satisfied. On what points would you negotiate with him to join your organization? Please give me suggestions for it.
Thank you.

This query has gone unanswered for nearly eight years. My views might still help someone who is handling a similar case.
From the case, it is not clear whether the person has accepted to come for an interview or given his consent to listen to you. If he outrightly rejects any call, there is little you can do. In this case, to call him, you may have to try all your marketing acumen. Assuming that a dialogue is possible, let us see what all questions we have to ask/lure him.
1. Why does the person show interest in spite of being satisfied?
2. What is his initial position and what is his ultimate interest?
3. After probing, how close can you go towards his interest?
4. What is your BATNA?
You can build on the above lines.
